Jan is a seasoned 3D Animator, Rigging TD, and Technical Artist with nearly 15 years of expertise across TV, animated features, cinematics, and AAA game development. A veteran of the game industry, he specializes in Python scripting, Unreal Engine, Unity, Maya, and ZBrush, bringing technical artistry and animation to life in a wide range of projects.


As an industry veteran with over a decade of experience in animation, rigging, techart, and game development, I've had the privilege of working on a wide range of exciting projects.

My career began in television and game cinematics, where I honed my skills as an animator on popular shows like Hotwheels Battleforce V, League of Super Evil, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Monsters vs Aliens TV Show, Leapfrog, and Veggie Tales. From there, I transitioned to rigging in both television and animated features, leading the riggers on Veggie Tales and contributing to the Puss and Boots TV show.

After mastering my craft in television, I set my sights on the world of video games, spending 5.5 years at Electronic Arts where I worked on some of the biggest titles in the industry, including FIFA 2016, UFC2, UFC3, Plants vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville, and Apex Legends.

My passion for cutting-edge technology led me to join Epic Games, where I contributed to the development of Twinmotion, focusing on animated assets and exploring the animated humans initiative, as well as integrating metahumans.

Recently, I decided to embark on a new adventure and joined Thought Pennies to work alongside industry veterans on their highly anticipated RPG game.

In addition to my professional work, I have also taught at esteemed institutions such as the Vancouver College of Art and Design, Vancouver Film School, Capilano University, Langara College - Center for Art and Entertainment, and Vancouver Film School once again.
